a different way of working with wallpaper:

This is possibly one of the best wallpapers I know of. Slightly obsessed with it.. whilst working at Jonny Lewis I ordered an alarming amount of samples until I received the peacock. I never managed to. Sanderson Pillemont Toile, available in fabric as well as wallpaper, has been used in Cult/Superdry windows for a while.. after browsing their blog I noticed they've experimented with it a little. Love the effect.

John Lewis interior VM

John Lewis is becoming cool.. quickly wandered through Jonny Lewis today & I'm loving their ground floor threshold display: a series of three retro inspired interior displays, including cushions, telephones, lamps, Pantone mugs etc. Couldn't grab a photo but when I'm next there I will definitely try to.
They have collated together a small collection online so have a gander: http://www.johnlewis.com/Home+_26+Garden/Style+Inspiration/Reborn+Style+Inspiration/Reborn+Style+Inspiration/22971/0/0/ProductCategory.aspx

Anthropologie US spring/summer 11 Windows

Topshop's Secret

Whimsical floral arrangements, hand painted plant pots, unique and exclusive one-off pieces from New York and London's renowned designers all surrounded by a feminine interior which almost looks as though it has a May pole in the middle of it! It's times like this when I wish I lived in London. Bring exciting VM/retail/creative happenings to Bristol please.

Oasis Window Display

Whilst shopping yesterday I wandered past Oasis and LOVED their window display. 70's trend inspired, they've continued the theme through to the props and overall concept of the display- a 1970's old fashioned television with dials. Burnt oranges, browns and bold prints- the clothing reflects the 70's trend of Spring/Summer 2011. Each window depicts the interior of a classic 70's living room. The props include cutouts of bold garish wallpapers, retro armchairs and kitsch decorative lampshades and decor.
By far the most creative visual merchandising I've seen in my local shopping mall! -trust me.. this is good for Patchway!

Images are taken from the Instagram app via my iPhone.

7 days of Kate

Flagship Topshop stores Oxford Circus and Broadway & Broome have re-created Kate Moss' bedroom as a window display, matching the interior, furniture and garments. Each day leading up to the release of her new 'collection', something in the window changes.

Although I am very against how easy it is for celebrities to become so called 'fashion designers', I love this VM/installation idea.

The Shoe Galleries

The world's largest shoe department is currently open in Selfridges department store, Oxford Street.
Designed by architect Jamie Forbert, 300 days to construct, 4,000 shoes, and 150 brands.. it's quite impressive. Although I could only dream about owning most of these shoes, we grabbed a shoe each and showed off our best poses in The Shoe Galleries photobooth!

The superhero themed campaign 'What's Your Shoe Story' was shot by photographer Bruce Weber.
