New Job!

I have a new job! Very proud to be working for Origin Publishing as an Art Assistant for Knit Today and The World of Cross Stitching. YAY. Below is my job interview project - brief was to design 4 pages of a small A4 supplement advertising SMC Select's new yarns. Can't wait to start!

Todd Selby film

After buying Todd Selby is in Your Place (published 2010) I regularly have a little browse through it every now and then-it doesn't really get old to me. Since then Todd Selby has continued with more shoots and like every creative out there at the moment, he has expanded into film. You could loose interest quite quickly.. but I quite liked this one. Maybe because of the Italian references!

This is possibly one of the best wallpapers I know of. Slightly obsessed with it.. whilst working at Jonny Lewis I ordered an alarming amount of samples until I received the peacock. I never managed to. Sanderson Pillemont Toile, available in fabric as well as wallpaper, has been used in Cult/Superdry windows for a while.. after browsing their blog I noticed they've experimented with it a little. Love the effect.

John Lewis interior VM

John Lewis is becoming cool.. quickly wandered through Jonny Lewis today & I'm loving their ground floor threshold display: a series of three retro inspired interior displays, including cushions, telephones, lamps, Pantone mugs etc. Couldn't grab a photo but when I'm next there I will definitely try to.

Lincoln

Last weekend we went on a trip up to Lincoln to visit Steve's Grandparents. The centre of Lincoln is lovely- this was definitely a very British weekend! Endless cups of tea and cake... I'm not complaining!
