Britain Britain Britain

William and Kate are absolute legends, 21st Century Royalty that are definitely going to change the face of the Royal Family.
Be expected to see many similar re-makes of the dress, lace will probably swan into all the high street shops. Beatrice and Eugenies' 'intriguing designs' as the BBC describes it, are a little shocking. What on earth is all I can say. Also, Princess Diana's looks are still evident within the family.

I love Britain. I also would like to be a Princess and have a wedding similar to this one, thank you please.

Photographs

As I was browsing Inside-Out - Topshop's Blog, I saw this post that's amazing to look at (http://insideout.topshop.com/) Overlapping old photographs with modern present day photographs. I am always intrigued by old photographs- I loved working with old family photographs for my Major Project. I even stumbled across a photograph of my Nan from the 1930-40's stood outside her house in Sicily, and compared it to a photograph my parents took recently.. which happened to be taken in the exact same spot.

All the photographs can be seen here: http://dornob.com/real-time-travel-15-fantastic-photographs-of-futures-past/
So, now i have a new job.. I need a cheap little run around car, a pimp new flat with the boyf.. and these:

I love you Urban Outfitters and Topshop

Oasis Window Display

Whilst shopping yesterday I wandered past Oasis and LOVED their window display. 70's trend inspired, they've continued the theme through to the props and overall concept of the display- a 1970's old fashioned television with dials. Burnt oranges, browns and bold prints- the clothing reflects the 70's trend of Spring/Summer 2011. Each window depicts the interior of a classic 70's living room. The props include cutouts of bold garish wallpapers, retro armchairs and kitsch decorative lampshades and decor.
By far the most creative visual merchandising I've seen in my local shopping mall! -trust me.. this is good for Patchway!

Images are taken from the Instagram app via my iPhone.

LFW Autumn/Winter 2011

Possibly too many photos that I like from the past week to upload! I've been looking at print details- here's two that I love- especially Mulberry.

I had a telephone interview today for a Visual Merchandising role. It surprisingly went quite well- I did plenty of research before hand. It gave me a chance to get back up to date with trends and S/S 11 - I admit I've been slacking on it lately. LFW starting today, good time to start I think!
